Star Ratings Explained

In the absence of any internationally recognised star rating system, the ratings we give, in our opinion, reflect a true representation of the merits of each property. Inevitably, standards will differ slightly between the many destinations we offer. As a guide to the star rating we have used, you can expect the following:

Standard, mid-range accommodation with clean and comfortable rooms. In house facilities can be limited, but will normally include an on-site restaurant and sometimes swimming pools. Some real bargains can be had at this level offering above average service on budget prices.

Good superior accommodation offering a selection of services. Most 4* hotels feature a choice of excellent restaurants, and in addition many also have a health club and a swimming pool.
